I love puppetry, particularly when its messy anarchic and irreverent.
I have led 1, 2 and 3 day puppetry workshops for professional practitioners in both the UK and Norway. Venues include Puppet Place Bristol, The Little Angel London, Fossekleiva International Festival and Go Festival in Norway.
More recently I have been focusing on the narrative arc and what that means to this particular artform. I have also been running sessions on what it is to be a puppetry director. For me the fundamental aim of these workshops is to get people making work,  without shows we are all just sitting in our sheds.

I have also led introductory puppetry workshops for undergraduates at Royal Welsh College of Music and drama Bath Spa University and Bristol City College. These focus on a range of techniques to demystify puppetry.

In addition, I produced the professional development strand of the Bristol Festival of puppetry.  I co-ordinating and facilitated a variety of initiatives including The lab. The aim was to support mid-career and established artists by creating a playing space for two days for five invited artistic directors. The results were shown to an audience followed by a panel discussion.
It was scary,  brilliant and ideas turned into performances.
